John Bourgeois is from Charlotte, North Carolina where he attended Charlotte Country Day School for his high school education. He was the Co-Captain of the Mens lacrosse team there, which went on to win the state championship tournament. He also earned the honors of 1st team All State in 1999 and 2000, Charlotte Player of the Year, and All American in 2000. Currently John is enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He joined Pi Kappa Alpha shortly after attending UNC-Chapel Hill. He has been elected as Social Chair for the chapter for the 03/04 school year. In the future he hopes to work in mass transport and real estate. John is currently a special projects manager at Sumter Transport Company in South Carolina. His intentions as of now are to earn a BA in Management and Society from Chapel Hill and live in Charlotte upon the completion of his education.

Outdoor Life
When John is not taking classes at Chapel Hill he prefers to escape the rush of society and get out of town. Last fall he was able to go on a three month expedition through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). It was in Baja California, Mexico, packing in the mountains, sea kayaking, and sailing on the Sea of Cortez. Now that he is back in the states it is hard for him to find time to get away, but whenever possible a quick trip to Virginia and the North Carolina mountains for some camping and fly fishing is a treat.
